Fox has renewed both Lucifer and Rosewood for second seasons after both performed well thanks to bumps from hit Fox shows X-Filesand Empire, respectively.

"We knew we had something special with Lucifer," said David Madden, President of Entertainment at Fox Broadcasting Company. "With Rosewood, creator Todd Harthan has put a fresh, playful spin on the procedural format, infusing it with wit and warmth."

Why you should give Lucifer a chance.

At the moment, fans have been finding much enjoyment in the network's take on the king of hell in Lucifer. Debuting in January, the cheeky and sarcastic vibe of the show paired well with the very serious Gotham. As for Rosewood, the "fun" procedural has turned into a surprise hit for the network thanks mostly to Morris Chestnut whose charming presence has served as a lovely counter-balance to the soap-opera madness of Empire.
