Fox has renewed Entertainment President Kevin Reilly's contract for three more years, Deadline reports.
Although his contract was not up until July, the early renewal comes in the midst of a successful TV season for the network. Fox beat ABC, CBS and NBC during 2009's fall quarter for the first time in the network's 23-year history.
On top of the continued strength of sports programming and American Idol, the strong ratings have come from new scripted hits under Reilly's tenure, such as Fringe and Glee. Glee was the No. 1 new broadcast comedy of the fall, besides the series' wins at the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards.
