Fox Pulls New Girl Until November

Now you see her; now you don't. New Girl— the first new show to get picked up for a full season — is going to be scarce for much of October.

Fox won't air the next two episodes of Zooey Deschanel's sitcom so that The X Factor can expand from 90 minutes to a full two hours. The network had already planned to pre-empt the Oct. 25 episode for Simon Cowell's new amateur-talent show. That means we won't see a new episode of New Girl until Nov. 1.
