Fox Picks Up Lethal Weapon, Exorcist and More to Series

These series will debut during the 2016/2017 TV season

Fox has unveiled the first mass series orders of the 2016/2017 season -- a mix of movie adaptations (The Exorcist and Lethal Weapon); dramas (including baseball series Pitch and futuristic police procedural APB) as and new comedies such as Making History and The Mick. A few A-list names, including Geena Davis, Kaitlin Olson and Damon Wayans, are among the talent in the new crop, as well as some unknowns we can't wait to learn more about.

Here's what you'll be seeing on Fox soon, in addition to the already greenlit 24: Legacy ; Lee Daniels' Star; a reboot of Prison Break; animated comedy Son of Zorn; and drama Shots Fired.

APB

Amid an out of control Chicago Police Department, billionaire Gideon Rerves (Justin Kirk) decides to put up millions of dollars of his own money to take over the 13th Precinct and reboot it as a private police force with cutting-edge technology and revolutionary new ideas.

Starring: Justin Kirk, Natalie Martinez and Eric Winter

The Exorcist

A new take on the classic film, The Exorcist takes the form of a psychological thriller following two very different priests tackling a family's case of demonic possession.

Lethal Weapon

Based on the hit movie franchise, Lethal Weapon rides along with classic cop duo Riggs and Murtaugh as they work a crime-ridden beat in modern-day Los Angeles.

Pitch

Pitch follows the story of the MLB's first female pitcher, Ginny Baker, who instantly becomes the most famous person in the country when she begins playing for the San Diego Padres.

Making History

Making History follows three friends from two different centuries centuries as they balance time travel with the mundane concerns of their present-day lives.

The Mick

Mackenzie "The Mick" Murphy is a hustler who's spent her life gaming the system. When her estranged sister and billionaire brother-in-law flee the country to escape federal charges, she finally gets the carefree life she wanted, but only if she assumes custody of her sister's three high-maintenance children.
