Fox Picks a Pickler for Sitcom Project

Fox is developing a half-hour comedy revolving around American Idol sixth-place finisher Kellie Pickler, Variety reports. Pickler will play a naive, small-town Southern girl – stre-e-e-etch them acting chops – who discovers that her biological dad is, no, not a rehabilitating ex-con, but a well-respected state governor. Hilarity ensues. Hey, what about Kevin Covais as her wacky sidekick?
