Television audiences are used to shows based on books or films. And they've reluctantly been subjected to series based on blogs or Twitter feeds. Well TV fans better get used to seeing a lot more rusty pickup trucks, empty beer cans, and the Stars and Stripes on their screens, because now there is a series in the works based on a country song.

Fox and Jerry Bruckheimer are developing Two Black Cadillacs, Deadline reports, a six-hour miniseries based on the 2012 Carrie Underwood song of the same name. In the platinum-selling song, a wife and a mistress of a man find out about each other and the two join forces in a plot to kill the lowdown cheatin' scum.

Underwood, who rose to fame after winning Season 4 of American Idol and starred in NBC's The Sound of Music Live, will be on board to executive-produce.
