Haven't decided what you're going to do for Memorial Day weekend? Here's one option.

Petals on the Wind, the sequel to Lifetime's recent Flowers in the Attic adaptation, will premiere on Monday, May 26, the network announced Tuesday.

Lifetime's Flowers in the Attic is a family affair

Heather GrahamEllen Burstyn and Dylan Bruce will reprise their roles in the new film, which is based on the second book in V.C. Andrews series about a group of children who grow up locked in an attic. The roles of Cathy and Christopher Dollanganger — played by Kiernan Shipka and Mason Dye in the first movie — will be played by Rose McIver and Wyatt Nash in the second film, which picks up 10 years after the first movie ends.

Petals on the Wind follows Cathy, Christopher and their younger sister Carrie (Bailey Buntain), as they attempt to put their past behind them but realize that some secrets can't be kept hidden. Cathy enters into an abusive relationship with a fellow dancer named Julian (Will Kemp), and later returns to Foxworth Hall to confront her mother and grandmother (Graham and Burstyn). She also plans to get revenge on her mother by seducing her mother's new husband (Bruce).

The movie is the first of four additional Andrews adaptations Lifetime has in the works. The network is also developing the third and fourth books in the Dollanganger series, If There Be Thorns and Seeds of Yesterday, as well as the novel My Sweet Audrina.
