Ed's Tom Cavanagh Joins The CW's Flash Pilot

Edalum Tom Cavanagh has joined the cast of The CW's Flash pilot, TVGuide.com has learned.

Cavanagh will play Harrison Wells, a rock star in the world of physics who is the mind and money behind Central City's S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator. Harrison becomes a pariah after the lab's explosion, but he charts his path to redemption when he discovers that his failed experiment had the unintended consequence of creating the world's fastest man, aka The Flash (Grant Gustin).

Cavanagh, whose credits also include Scrubs, Eli Stoneand Royal Pains, joins the previously cast Jesse L. Martin, Candace Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Rick Cosnett and Carlos Valdes.

Based upon characters published by DC Comics, the Arrowspin-off comes from Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and DC Chief Geoff Johns.
