The Gaineses announced that they were ending the show last September to focus on their family and other business ventures, but for legions of Fixer Upper fans, the end came too soon. They took to Twitter to say goodbye to their favorite comfort show and share well-wishes for Chip and Joanna on what comes next.
I can't believe that #FixerUpper is over!! 😭😭😭😭 I'm going to miss you guys so much @chipgaines & @joannagaines you guys were my favorite hgtv show ever, I can't even explain how I feel in words so 😭😭😭but good luck to you for whatever else life has planned for you!— Brooke Anderson (@Bakerchick07) April 4, 2018

@joannagaines thank you for all the seasons of inspirational Fixer Upper! You guys do an amazing job transforming homes but the most beautiful and inspiring role is the one you live with each other and your children. We wish you and your family all the best blessings! ❤️— Leanora Henfling (@LeanoraHenfling) April 4, 2018
if you had told my 12 year old self that in 10 years I would be crying over the end of an HGTV show I would've punched you in the face #FixerUpper— jordan galloway (@jojomicaela) April 4, 2018
This is the most dramatic one:
A piece of me died watching the last episode of fixer upper last night 😭— Brittany Jurman (@brittanyjurman) April 4, 2018
Famous fan Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt paid tribute, too.
Chip and Joanna returned the love when the episode was over.
Fixer Upper fans will still be able to get their fix when spin-off Fixer Upper: Behind the Design — exploring Joanna's creative process for coming up with her beautiful interior designs — premieres Tuesday, April 10 at 8/7c on HGTV.
