Fast and Furious 7 Gets a Release Date

Though production on Fast and Furious 7 was initially halted in the wake of Paul Walker's death last month, the movie will actually be released ahead of schedule, according to by star Vin Diesel.

Diesel posted a picture of himself and Walker on his Facebook page Sunday, with the caption: " The last scene we filmed together... There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared... in the film we were now completing... the magic captured... and, in just how far we've come... Fast and Furious 7 will be released April 10th 2015!"

The latest installment in the action franchise was originally slated to hit theaters in Summer 2015. According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers are hoping to retire Walker's character, Brian O'Connor, using scenes he had already filmed prior to his death.

Walker, 40, was killed in a car crash in California on Nov. 30.
