Members of the writing team for E!'s Fashion Police have gone on strike and are seeking $1.5 million in unpaid regular and overtime hours, Deadlinereports.

Twelve writers from the reality series filed complaints with the California Division of Labor Standards earlier this week and are demanding that the show comply with the standards of the Writers Guild Association.

In response, E! president Suzanne Kolb called the strike "unfortunate" in an internal memo, and added that she is prepared to negotiate with representatives from the WGA, Deadline reports.

Fashion Police co-host Joan Rivers, whose production company Rugby Productions co-produces the show with E!, says she "supports the Fashion Police writers and wants a fair agreement for them," according to Deadline.
