Odenkirk, best known for playing the shady lawyer on the AMC hit series, has been cast as Deputy Bill Olsen. He'll work alongside his younger, but smarter fellow deputy Molly Solverson, played by Allison Tolman. Also joining the series is It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Glenn Howerton. Previously announced stars include Billy Bob Thornton, Kate Walsh, Oliver Platt, Martin Freeman and Colin Hanks.

Fargo
will be a 10-episode series executive-produced by Joel and Ethan Coen and is inspired by their 1996 film of the same name. It will feature a new plot and new characters.

Last month, AMC announced that it had reached a licensing agreement for a spin-off centered around Odenkirk's Breaking Bad character. Better Call Saul will be a one-hour prequel focusing on the evolution of Saul Goodman before he became Walter White's lawyer. No word on how Fargo will affect Better Call Saul, but a production date on the spin-off has  yet to be announced.
