"Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8. @glamourmag put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn't feel right to me," the overexposed comedian wrote in an Instagram post last week. "Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size? What are your thoughts? Mine are not cool glamour not glamourous."
She elaborated on her stance during her Tonight Show appearance using her signature irreverent humor. "For those of you who don't know who I am, I'm a famous plus-size model," she said by way of introduction. She showed how glamorous she is by contorting her body into awkward positions and chastising Questlove for not looking at her.
Then she got a little more real, talking about how labeling women "plus-size" isn't helpful or productive.
"We don't need these labels," she says. "It should just say what size you are."
