Person of Interest is going back to square one.
In the exclusive first look at Tuesday's episode (10/9c, CBS) above, Reese (Jim Caviezel) and Finch (Michael Emerson) lament the absence of Root (Amy Acker) and the lack of leads on Shaw (Sarah Shahi). But they've got a bigger problem: There's a huge backlog of numbers (several of them dead or in jail) that the team missed during its fight with Samaritan.
Making matters worse, Finch's cover identity, Professor Whistler, has been called for jury duty, leaving Reese with only Fusco (Kevin Chapman) to call on. Or so he thinks. "After everything that's happened, perhaps it's best if we left him out of our operations... for now," Finch says. And given all the team's recent losses, Reese must agree. "When we first started you told me we'd both wind up dead," he says. "This is worse. You're right. If we're shorthanded, we're shorthanded. We're not bringing anyone else into this."
"It's just you and me again, Mr. Reese," Finch concludes. Will the duo be able to handle the load alone? Click play above. Person of Interest airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on CBS.
