That little arc on
Ugly Betty apparently got Lucy Liu thinking about a full-time return to TV. Or perhaps it was the reviews for
Code Name: The Cleaner.
Whatever the reason, sources confirm that the onetime Ally McBeal regular has signed on to star in ABC's Darren Star-produced drama pilot Cashmere Mafia, which revolves around four female executives in New York. Liu's costars include Frances O'Connor and Miranda Otto.
So, whaddaya think? Was it Code Name or Ugly Betty that did the trick? I'm leaning toward Code Name. That thing was awful. (So they tell me.)
