Exclusive: Grey's 2.0 Snags Mars Star

Piz has hit the big time!Sources confirm that Chris Lowell — that's Veronica Mars' Piz to you — has joined the cast of the in-the-works Grey's Anatomy spin-off (or, as the lawyers over at ABC insist we call it, "The upcoming enhanced two-hour Grey's Anatomy episode with a potential for afterlife") executive produced by Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and Mark Gordon.Althought this is fantastic news for Lowell and his growing legion of admirers, it probably doesn't bode well for Veronica Mars' renewal chances. Also not helping matters: the impressive premiere ratings for those damn Pussycat Dolls. Still, this is a huge break for Lowell, one of the nicest, most down-to-earth young actors in the biz. Let's hope success doesn't corrupt his soul.
