Let It Shine, Disney Channel's TV movie centered in the world of gospel music and hip-hop, will premiere on Friday, June 15 at 8/7c. The music-driven film, starring Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris) and Hollywood Records artist Coco Jones, is a modern-day take on the Cyrano de Bergerac story.

Filmed in Atlanta and Marietta, Georgia, Let It Shine stars Williams as Cyrus DeBarge, who writes a song for childhood friend Roxanne "Roxie" Andrews (Jones), now a teenage pop star. But Cyrus' song is mistakenly attributed to his best friend Kris (Trevor Jackson, Eureka), and Kris takes credit as Cyrus stands by, too shy to tell the truth. Let It Shine also stars Courtney B. Vance, Dawnn Lewis, Alex Desert and Nicole Sullivan.

Walt Disney Records will release a Let It Shine soundtrack timed to the original movie. Paul Hoen (Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam) directed the movie, which was written by Eric Daniel and Don D. Scott (Barbershop).
