The actor has appeared in every previous season
We don't know much of anything about American Horror Story's upcoming ninth season (no, we can't quite believe this show is already entering Season 9 either), but we do know of at least one familiar face who will not be appearing in the next installment of the popular FX anthology series.
Evan Peters, who has appeared in every season of the Ryan Murphy drama thus far, said in an interview at WonderCon that he would "sit a season out," confirming he will not appear opposite actress Emma Roberts and Olympian Gus Kenworthy in the new season.
Here is the video where Evan Peters told me he will not be returning to American Horror Story. This is the first time in nine seasons he will not be part of the show! #AHS pic.twitter.com/Eb30bXzMFR

Again, we know very little about American Horror Story's next season; Roberts' and Kenworthy's casting is the only real news we've had in months. But although it was rumored Season 9 would potentially be a continuation of Apocalypse, the Season 8 finale neatly wrapped up most of the story's lingering questions, putting to rest the theory that Season 9 might be a sequel season.
