Emmys 2016: The Complete Winners List

Did Game of Throne continue its hot streak?

In this era of Peak TV, a few shows have managed to rise above the rest. On Sunday, the television industry's best of the best gathered together at the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards to see who would be taking home this year's big awards.

After years of being shut out of the race, FX's The Americans finally got their first major Emmys nominations earlier this summer, scoring nods for stars Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell, as well as a spot in the highly competitive best drama category. But were they able to defeat the Emmys juggernaut Game of Thrones?

And speaking of award show darlings, did Veep's Julia Louis-Dreyfus make history with a record-breaking fifth consecutive win? Could anyone compete with Sarah Paulson's performance of Marcia Clark? And did his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift help propel Tom Hiddleston to Emmy stardom?

See the full list of nominees, with winners in bold, below.
