Here's Your First Look at Emma Stone in Disney's Cruella
It turns out that Cruella was super into leather before she got into the fur business
The first look at Emma Stone as Cruella de Vil in Disney's upcoming film Cruella was revealed to fans at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, on Saturday.
The actress didn't appear on stage, but she sent a video from the set in London, where she and co-star Emma Thompson are filming the 101 Dalmatians prequel film. The La La Land actress confirmed the film will be taking place in the 1970s and that it has a "punk rock" feel -- as shown by the photo below, released by Walt Disney Studios.

It turns out that Cruella was super into leather before she got into the fur business. The three Dalmatians on leashes could mean she was even a dog person once upon a time? The film will answer these questions as it explores how one of Disney's most iconic villains came to be.
Cruella also stars Paul Walter Hauser, and Joel Fry. It hits theaters on May 28, 2021.
