NBC Developing Lesbian Comedy From Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres is executive-producing a comedy in development for NBC that will have a lesbian lead character, Deadline reports.

The untitled project tells the story of a lesbian who becomes pregnant by her straight male best friend shortly before he meets and marries the love of his life, according toDeadline.

The multi-camera comedy will be written and executive-produced by comedienne Liz Feldman (2 Broke Girls), who previously worked for The Ellen DeGeneres Show and wrote some of DeGeneres' material when she hosted the Academy Awards in 2007.
