Ellen DeGeneres Reveals That She's the Inspiration Behind Adele's "Hello"

Hello, it's Ellen, and there's something you should know about Adele's new song.

"A lot of people don't realize her new song is based on a conversation we had," the host told the audience during Thursday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Showbefore showing her side of the conversation in Adele's music video.

In the clip, we see Ellen using an ancient cell phone to talk to the singer, but there are some issues. Not only do the two have a bad connection but the host gets another call from Drake, in the middle of his own meme-inspiring "Hotline Bling" video.
