"I was shocked, in some ways," Hasselbeck said on Friday's Fox & Friends, according to Us Weekly.

When asked whether Hasselbeck believed Shepherd had also been surprised by the decision, the former View co-host added: "I'm sure. Even if you think that might happen one day, I'm sure it would come across to be a shock."
With the recently announced exits of Shepherd and McCarthy, plus the retirement of Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg is the only host left at The View table. "Everything is up in the air," a source told Us Weekly. "They are figuring out what to do with Whoopi. It is still being decided."
