Eddie Murphy is in talks to join Lee Daniels' untitled Richard Pryor biopic, ET reports.
According to a source close to production, Murphy will play the comedian's father LeRoy "Buck Carter" Pryor, a former boxer.

On Thursday, Daniels posted a photo of himself and Murphy on Instagram with the caption: "Strap in and brace yourself. They done let him out of our cages!"
Murphy joins Mike Epps, who will play Pryor, and Oprah Winfrey, who will play his grandmother, Marie Carter. Kate Hudson has also been cast as Pryor's wife, Jennifer.
