Eddie Murphy finally gave us what we've all been waiting for: a revival of his Bill Cosby impression.

After he famously refused to impersonate Cosby during Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary special back in February, Murphy reversed his position over the weekend while accepting the Mark Twain Prize for humor. Murphy imitated Cosby during his acceptance speech at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., wondering whether the committee was probably regretting its decision to bestow the honor on Cosby in 2009.

"Bill has one of these," Murphy said. "Did y'all make Bill give his back? ... You know you f---ed up when they want you to give your trophies back."

Murphy went on to imitate Cosby demanding to speak to "some of the people who feel that I should give back my motherf---ing trophies!"

The acceptance speech was Murphy's first stand-up routine in nearly 30 years.

The ceremony will be broadcast in full on Monday, Nov. 23 on PBS.
