Duck Dynastyhas been in the news a lot following Phil Robertson's controversial anti-gay comments, but one of the youngest members of the dynasty is coming forward with a more positive message.

In an interview with Fox411, Sadie Robertson, the daughter of Willie and Korie Robertson, says the family joined the show for a very specific reason. "When we began Duck Dynasty, we weren't starting it for fame," she said. "We started it to get the message of God out there."

Duck Dynasty family: We all learned a lot

"I think people use fame as an excuse to lose their faith," Robertson continued. "Faith is obviously my number one priority and I think you need to put God at the top of everything you do."

Instead, Robertson stressed that Duck Dynasty provides viewers with a look at wholesome, Christian values. "We could have easily done a reality show like everyone else," she said. "But it's our faith that catches people's eyes because, sadly, it's not something we're used to seeing [on TV] these days."
