This is what Stephen Colbert set to find out on Wednesday's Late Show, when he challenged stars Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville and Allen Leech to read a scene from Downton in their best American accents. It's... unsettling, to say the least. Particularly when Leech pipes in.
