Cameron Douglas pleaded guilty Wednesday to dealing large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine, The Associated Press reports.

The 31-year-old son of Michael Douglas also pleaded guilty to heroin possession after allegations surfaced that his girlfriend attempted to smuggle him the drug while he was under house arrest. Prosecutors said Douglas has signed a plea agreement, the terms of which were not disclosed.

His current charges stem from a July 28, 2009, arrest at a trendy New York hotel as part of a Drug Enforcement Administration investigation. Investigators say Cameron was paid tens of thousands of dollars for trafficking methamphetamine, according to court papers obtained by the AP.

Douglas was previously arrested in 2007 on cocaine possession charges. He starred alongside his Oscar-winning father and grandfather, Kirk Douglas, in the 2003 film It Runs in the Family.

Cameron faces at least 10 years in jail when he is sentenced April 27.
