The feud between Donald Trump and Fox News is heating up, with Trump announcing that he plans to skip Thursday's GOP debate and instead will hold an event in Iowa to raise money for wounded veterans.
"Fox will go from probably having 24 million viewers to about 2 million," Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, told CNN.
Tensions between Trump and the network stem from the first GOP debate last August, in which Trump ignited a war of words with moderator Megyn Kelly. A Fox News spokesperson told CNN that Lewandowski said he "would hate to have [Kelly] go through that again" when explaining Trump's decision to pull out of the debate.
Donald Trump says he could "shoot somebody" and not lose voters
Fox says Trump is still welcome at the debate, but issued a statement Thursday saying network executives "can't give in to terrorizations toward any of our employees."
