I'd say Matt Groening's track record for making funny cartoons is pretty damn good, with The Simpsons, Futurama and Blinky the bunny under his belt. So let's all get excited together for his new Netflix show Disenchanted, which continues his foray into genre settings by taking place in a fantasy world but with all the buck-toothed character stylings you're used to from Springfield.

Netflix released the first full trailer for Disenchanted at San Diego Comic-Con, and it gives us a great look at the characters voiced by Abbi Jacobson (Broad City), Nat Faxon (The Descendants) and Eric Andre (Man Seeking Woman), as well as some medieval humor that definitely touches on a few Game of Thrones references (you know you always wondered what would happen if you fell down near the Iron Throne).

Disenchanted appears to have more in common with the adventures of Futurama than it does the domestic tomfoolery of The Simpsons. The Futurama archetypes are all there as well — Jacobsen's Princess Bean was cast out from her society just like Leela; Faxon's Elfo is away from his elven land and in a new world just like Fry; and Andre's demonic Luci is a human-hating entity just like Bender. Hey, it works, so I say sure.

Expect Disenchanted's 10-episode first season to show up on Netflix on Aug. 17.
