Dina Eastwood, who announced her separation from husband Clint Eastwood last week, has spoken out to defend the director against the backlash he's received.

"I don't like reading negative things about Clint. He is a wonderful, good natured, brilliant person. No matter what, I attest to that," Dina tweeted Monday.

Following news of their split, Clint was spotted dropping off a mystery woman at LAX airport, sparking rumors that the two were a couple. According to E! News, Clint and Dina have been living separately for a while.
