AMC's new dark comedy Dietlandfinally has a premiere date and it's coming sooner than you think.

The show is slated to arrive Monday, June 4 at 9/8c on AMC with back-to-back episodes. Based on Sarai Walker's novel of the same name, it will explore the major issues affecting women today including misogyny, rape culture and unrealistic beauty standards.

The story follows Plum Kettle (Joy Nash), a ghostwriter for the editor of one of New York's most popular magazines who struggles with self-image. As she embarks on a complicated journey to self-acceptance, the world around her buzzes about the mysterious disappearances of men accused of sexual assault and abuse who ultimately meet violent deaths.

In her first regular gig since The Good Wife, Julianna Margulies will play ambitious magazine editor Kitty Montgomery whose world is shaken up when a terrorist feminist organization targets the people around her. If she intends to survive in an environment with no rules, she'll have to abandon her old-school approach and master the art of manipulation.

The dramedy also stars Big Little Lies actress Robin Weigert as Verena Baptist, Ripper Street's Adam Rothenberg as NYPD detective Dominic, Law & Order: SVU alum Tamara Tunie as Julia, Shut Eye's Rowena King as newscaster Cheryl Crane-Murphy and The Deuce's Will Seefried as Ben.

Dietland, whose first season will be comprised of 10 episodes, premieres Friday, June 4 at 9/8c on AMC.
