Dick Vitale, Ashley Judd Defend Their Awkward Kiss After Kentucky Win

Dick Vitale is defending his infamous smooch with actress Ashley Judd.
Over the weekend, Vitale planted a big one on the diehard Kentucky fan -- and his longtime friend -- after the team beat Arkansas 78-63 in the SEC championship.

Social media, naturally, went crazy and now Vitale is explaining the photo.

"Under no condition did I plant a kiss on Ashley," he told the Chicago Tribune. "It's the other way around. We've been friends for over a decade. It was simple as can be."
Prior to the kiss, Vitale had posted a photo on Instagram with Judd giving him a peck on the cheek:
Judd is also defending her friend, telling MSNBC, "He's like an uncle to me. I adore him ... so I'm disappointed that it's been misinterpreted."
