Gravity, Breaking Bad Take Top Honors at DGA Awards

Alfonso Cuaron was awarded the top prize for Gravity at the Directors Guild of America Awards Saturday. The win comes a week after Gravity tied 12 Years a Slave for best film at the Producers Guild Awards.

Alfonso Cuaron was awarded the top prize for Gravity at the Directors Guild of America Awards Saturday. The win comes a week after Gravity tied 12 Years a Slave for best film at the Producers Guild Awards.

On the TV side, Vince Gilligan won for helming the series finale of Breaking Bad and Beth McCarthy-Miller won for the 30 Rock episode "Hogcock!/Last Lunch."

The ceremony, hosted by Jane Lynch, took place at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

Other winners included Steven Soderbergh for HBO's Liberace biopic Behind the Candelabra, and Don Roy King for the Justin Timberlake episode of Saturday Night Live.
