School is about to be back in session at Winchester University.

Netflix announced on Wednesday that the third season of Dear White People will be debuting on the streaming service on Friday, August 2, just in time to kick off fall classes.

The announcement came alongside a Juneteenth celebration video, which features the cast of the show tackling a pressing cultural controversy: whether to serve grits salty or sweet. (Note: Anyone who says the latter is a fraud and needs to stick to the oatmeal aisle forever.)

The teaser also revealed the logline of the new season: "New characters, new relationships, new secrets." It looks like fans should prepare to see some new faces in these familiar places when the show returns.

Dear White People is the comedic brainchild of Justin Simien, who wrote the 2014 film of the same name before creating the series for Netflix. There has been no shortage of real-world material for the show to draw from. Most recently, Season 2 featured Samantha (Logan Browning) continuing to challenge her campus' understanding of racism while a white nationalist group came into prominence, and she and Gabe (John Patrick Amedori) delivered one of the year's most effective exchanges of dialogue as they challenged each other's beliefs about society.

Dear White People Season 3 premieres on Netflix on August 2.
