The first trailer for Marvel's Deadpool is out - and it looks very promising.
The red band (read: NSFW) trailer shows the title character, aka Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), grappling with a cancer diagnosis, which leads him to volunteer for a genetic experiment that leaves him with an array of superpowers, including immortality. As the trailer indicates, with great power comes great irresponsibility, and the salty Merc With a Mouth takes gleeful delight in bloodily eliminating anyone that dares to cross him. It's the R-rated ridiculousness you've always wanted in a superhero movie.
Reynolds, who officially premiered the trailer on ConanTuesday night after its great reception at Comic-Con last month, first made a cameo as Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Deadpool will hit theaters Feb. 12. Will you see it?
