Does this mean she won't compete this year?

Dancing with the Stars: Juniorsis already nabbing some A+ talent for its first season in the form of Witney Carson!

Carson recently told Entertainment Tonight that she'd be participating in the upcoming Dancing with the Stars spin-off as a mentor to a junior dancer pair. "It's a good change of pace. I think people will like the kid version of it, it's going to be super fun and I hope people will like it," said Carson. "I'm actually going to be a mentor to the couple -- I don't know who I have yet, probably somebody Disney, for sure, but I don't know, so we'll see."

The exact details of the new show and the format it will follow are still under wraps, but we do know it will pair celebrity kids with professional junior ballroom dancers in the same way adult celebs are paired with Dancing with the Stars pros on the original show. It sounds like these pint-sized dynamic duos will be in need of mentorship from full-time pros though, which is where Carson -- and likely a few other familiar faces from Dancing with the Stars -- come in.

Dancing with the Stars: Juniors will air Sundays this fall at 8/7c on ABC.
