In the wildly surprising category, how about 19-year-old single mother Bristol Palin, daughter of Republican lightning rod Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska and vice-presidential candidate? "I think Bristol was shocked when we asked her," says Dancing executive producer Conrad Green.
Then there's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, who found fast fame on MTV's controversial Jersey Shore for his "wild boy" attitude, and his mouth. "He's a great character," raves Green, who says Sorrentino is "very competitive" and will be coming to win.
These two should be fascinating: Dirty Dancing's Jennifer Grey, who was only 27 when she starred in the classic film, and is now 50. And comedian Margaret Cho, 41, adding some comic bite to the proceedings.

The cast is sprinkled with some other big names, including two alumni from America's Got Talent, former judges David Hasselhoff and Brandy. Singer Michael Bolton will lace up his dancing shoes. Two sports guys will show us their moves: Former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner (St. Louis Rams, New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals) and former Los Angeles Laker, Rick Fox, who, at 6'7", will tower over any professional dance partner.
Rounding out the mix, The Hills reality star Audrina Patridge, Disney Channel star Kyle Massey (That's So Raven), and television icon Florence Henderson, who is 76.
The show's 11th season kicks off Monday, September 20th at 8/7c on ABC.
