Top Model, Hellcats to Kick Off CW's New Season

The Vampire Diaries — the network's breakout hit last season — returns Thursday, Sept. 9 at 8/7c. It will serve as a lead-in for new series Nikita, which stars Maggie Q as the skilled but emotionally torn assassin first made famous in the film La Femme Nikita.The following week will see the return of 90210 and Gossip Girl on Mondays, and One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected on Tuesdays.Smallville's 10th and final season will begin Friday, Sept. 24, and be paired with its former Thursday-night mate, Supernatural.See the full schedule below:Wednesday, Sept. 88/7c America's Next Top Model
