CW Sets Summer Premiere Dates for Beauty and the Beast and More

The CW has unveiled summer premiere dates for returning shows, including Beauty and the Beast and Whose Line Is It Anyway?, as well as the new docuseries Famous in 12 and comedies Backpackers and Seed.

The CW has unveiled summer premiere dates for returning shows, including Beauty and the Beast and Whose Line Is It Anyway?, as well as the new docuseries Famous in 12 and comedies Backpackers and Seed.

Whose Line will move to its new night, Mondays, beginning June 2. Beauty and the Beast will return from hiatus the same night.

Shows on the bubble: Which will survive?

The new social experiment series Famous in 12, which premieres on June 3, follows a fame-seeking family around the clock for 12 weeks.

Backpackers, about two buddies trekking the world, originally aired on the CW's digital platform, Seed, and will transition to broadcast beginning Monday, July 14. Other freshman comedy Seed, which follows an underachieving bachelor who's a sperm donor, will premiere the same night.

Other new shows include Penn & Teller: Fool Us, where aspiring magicians perform for the famous duo, and Masters of Illusion, an escape/illusion showcase hosted by Dean Cain.
