Arrowverse may soon need to make room for another hit show. It looks like the CW is moving forward with that potential Batwoman series!
According to the Hollywood Reporter the network has officially ordered the pilot, meaning it's one step closer to becoming a fully-fledged show alongside the likes of Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Black Lightning.
Ruby Rose will star as the red-haired caped crusader fighting a resurgence of criminals who've popped up in Gotham City. Considering Batman has missing for years, it's up to her to save her city which will be easier said than done. No official word yet on who will be fighting crime alongside her — every hero needs back up, after all — but we're holding out hope that Kate Kane will be joined by Batwing, Flamebird, Renee Montoya and her greatest foe, Alice.
Rose made her Arrowverse debut in this year's three-way crossover, teaming up with Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl for an Easter egg-filled Arrow episode set in Gotham City. While Kate kept her identity a secret from Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Barry (Grant Gustin), it wasn't hard for Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) to figure out the mystery woman behind the black leather mask and a friendship was quickly formed. After that World's Finest quip in the crossover, a nod to Batman and Superman's iconic team up, something tells us they may rejoin forces down the line.
Keep your eyes peeled for the Batwoman pilot which is headed your way in the foreseeable future. Meanwhile, the Arrowverse Elseworlds crossover is currently available to stream on CWTV.com and The CW app.
