Cuba Gooding Jr.'s wife Sara Kapfer filed for legal separation on Tuesday after 20 years of marriage, TMZ.com reports.
Kapfer cited irreconcilable differences from the Oscar-winning actor, whom she married in 1994.
The couple, who were high school sweethearts, have three children together: Spencer, Mason and Piper. Kapfer is seeking legal and physical custody.
Gooding most recently appeared in Lee Daniels' The Butler.
