Criminal Minds Enlists Battlestar's Tricia Helfer for Season Finale

Battlestar Galactica vet Tricia Helfer will appear in the season finale of Criminal Minds, TVLine reports.

Helfer, 37, told the site that she will be playing "a bad character" on the crime procedural. Criminal Minds will wrap its seventh season on May 16 with a two-hour finale involving a hostage situation at a federal bank, during which one of the BAU members becomes a hostage. The episode will also mark the last for Prentiss (Paget Brewster).

Since her days as Six on Battlestar, Helfer most recently co-starred on TNT's Dark Blue and NBC's The Firm.
