Frances Conroy, Alexandra Breckinridge Cast in American Horror Story

Frances Conroy and Alexandra Breckinridge have joined the cast of FX's American Horror Story, TVGuide.com has confirmed. Frances Conroy and Alexandra Breckinridge have joined the cast of FX's American Horror Story, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

From executive producer Ryan Murphy, the series centers on Ben Harmon (Dylan McDermott), a sensitive therapist, and his wife, Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton), who move to San Francisco after Ben makes a terrible mistake that damages his family. The only problem: their new home may not be the best place to start over.

Conroy (Six Feet Under) will play their new housekeeper, while Breckenridge (Life Unexpected) will play a younger version of the character.

Ryan Murphy fills out American Horror Story cast

As previously announced, Oscar-winner Jessica Lange will play their prying neighbor, while True Blood's Denis O'Hare will play a mysterious burn victim named Larry. Vera Farmiga's younger sister, Taissa, was recently cast as the Harmons' daughter, who bonds with Ben's new patient, played by Invasion's Evan Peters.

American Horror Story is the brainchild of Murphy and Brad Falchuk, co-creator-executive producers of Fox's Gleeand previously FX's Nip/Tuck. Murphy will direct the pilot. Glee's Dante Di Loreto will also executive-produce.
