Michael Jackson's Doctor Conrad Murray Released From Jail

Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's doctor who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the pop singer's 2009 death, was released from prison early Mondaymorning after serving two years of a four-year sentence, The Associated Pressreports.

Murray, 60, left the Los Angeles jail where he had been incarcerated since his 2011 conviction at 12:01 a.m. Monday, according to the AP.

Murray, who served as Jackson's personal physician, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in November 2011 for giving Jackson an overdose of propofol, a powerful sleep aid, as he was preparing for a series of comeback concerts. Jackson was 50 when he died in June 2009.

Murray's medical license has been suspended or revoked in three states, the AP reports. He is appealing the conviction.
