Columbus Short just can't seem to catch a break.
The former Scandalstar was arrested and taken into custody in a Van Nuys, Calif., courtroom on Thursday, TMZ.com reports.
The actor, 31, was arrested for failing to appear in court for his criminal domestic violence case last month. The judge issued an arrest warrant and set bail at $40,000.

Short had another hearing Thursday in a criminal case involving a bar fight, but he was unable to attend because he was in custody. Subsequently, the judge in that case issued a second arrest warrant and set bail at $250,000.
It has been a rough year for Short, who was written off the hit ABC show after he was charged with felony battery for allegedly punching a man at a West Hollywood restaurant in March. He was also reportedly arrested twice the month prior for alleged physical altercations with his wife. He pled not guilty to spousal battery and child abuse, but his wife filed for divorce in April.
Short was recently arrested for public intoxication in July.
