Christine Cavanaugh, the voice of the titular pig in the classic film Babe, passed away on December 22, her family revealed in an obituary in The Los Angeles Times.

Cavanaugh was a successful voiceover actress who got her big break as Goslyn Duck in 1991's Dark Wing Duck. She also provided the voices for Chuckie in Nickelodeon's Rugrats, Marty Sherman in ABC and Fox's The Critic, Oblina in Nickelodeon's Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, and Dexter in Cartoon Network's Dexter's Laboratory.

She retired from voice acting in 2001.
