Chris Pine and Patty Jenkins have released a second sneak peek at their upcoming limited TNT series I Am the Night, and it's even more unhinged than the first trailer.

In the series, Pine plays a reporter who discovers a young girl who might be the key to the mysterious Black Dahlia murder, but the deeper he goes down the rabbit hole to try and find the truth, the weirder things get. India Eisley co-stars as Fauna Hodel, the enigmatic young girl who starts to unravel everything when she finds out she's adopted and heads to Los Angeles to find out who she really is. The second trailer digs a little more into Fauna's story but still leaves plenty of questions that won't be answered until the show premieres in January.

The limited series reunited Pine with Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins, who directed all six episodes written by Sam Sheridan. It marks Pine's television debut as a series regular. He previously had a recurring part in Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later and lent his voice to Bryan Cranston's SuperMansion.

I Am the Night premieres Monday, Jan. 28 at 9/8c on TNT.
