Chris Hardwick Engaged to Lydia Hearst
Get details on the surprise proposal!
Chris Hardwick celebrated his win at the Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday in elaborate fashion: by proposing to his girlfriend, publishing heiress Lydia Hearst.
Hardwick, 43, hosts Talking Dead and Comedy Central's late-night show @midnight (for which he won the Creative Arts Emmy for Best Creative Achievement in Interactive Media) as well as the Nerdist podcast. He shared the news on Instagram Sunday, along with a photo of the ring he's giving Hearst, which had been passed down from her grandmother. (His proposal was with a candy ring, as the inherited piece was back in New York getting sized.)
Hardwick said his surprise proposal happened at the Chateau Marmont, where he had told Hearst (falsely) that there was "a small Emmy after party."
