Rest easy, Kurt Hummel fans. Contrary to a tweet that went out from Chris Colfer's account on Thursday, the actor's personal rep says he is not leaving Glee.

"Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE. Explanations will come shortly...," read the tweet in question. But Colfer's personal rep tells TVGuide.com the star's account was hacked.

"It's not true," the rep tells TVGude.com. "His Twitter account has been hacked. He will indeed be back for the final season."

20th Century Fox also issued the following statement: "We've been alerted that Chris Colfer's twitter account has been hacked. Rumors of his dismissal from Glee could not be further from the truth. We love Chris and look forward to working with him again this season."

Colfer has played Kurt Hummel on the Fox musical since its first season.

This isn't the first time Glee has had to deal with false reports of casting shake-ups. Earlier this year, reports surfaced that Colfer's co-star Naya Rivera had been fired from the show after allegedly getting into an on-set altercation with Lea Michele. Fox later issued a statement saying Rivera is still under contract with the show.

The upcoming sixth season of Glee will be the show's last.
